Postdoctoral Researcher at Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon and at the Orient Museum, Portugal. Project entitled "Visual aspects of the mythological narratives in the arts of the Asian civilizations".

Research Interests:
    * Visual Culture; European Renaissance Painting; Cross-cultural artistic influence in Europe an Asia; Arts of Asia; Relations between the Arts and the Sacred.

Education:
    * Ph.D at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon (2006 - 2011). Thesis entitled "Art and Alterity. Confluences of Christian art in India, China and Japan between the 16th and the 18th centuries". Submitted with the Highest Honors (Summa cum Laude).
    * MA in Art Theories Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon (2003 - 2006). Dissertation entitled “Images for edification. The didactic models in Portuguese Renaissance Painting". Graduated in March 2006 with the Highest Honors (Summa cum Laude).
    * BA in History. Graduated in July 2003
