Researcher at the Center for Geographical Studies of the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, University of Lisbon. Also a researcher at GETE - Group of Territorial Studies, State University of Ponta Grossa, Paraná, Brazil. BA (with Honours) in Geography from the Faculty of Arts, University of Coimbra (2005). He attended the Masters and Doctorate Programme 'Post-Colonialism and Global Citizenship'  from Center for Social Studies and the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra (2005-2006). Currently is studies in the MA in Geography - Population, Society and Territory in the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, University of Lisbon.

Is to develop research for master's thesis titled "Queer heterotopias and Constellations - Lesbians and Gays spatiality in the city of Lisbon under the supervising of Jorge Macaista Malheiros (Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning - University of Lisbon) and Ana Cristina Santos (Center for Social Studies - University of Coimbra; e Birkbeck Institute of Social Research - University of London) to be delivered in June 2011.

His research interests focus on three main areas: social and cultural geography, equality and diversity; gender studies (masculinity) and lesbian, gay and queer studies; social theory and history and theory of geography (qualitative methodologies and epistemology).

In the context of activism since 1998 is a feminist and LGBT activist and was the founder and leader of the association não prives - Group for the Defense of Sexual Rights. He was part of the Pink Panthers (front against Lesbi-gay-transphobia) since 2004 to August 2010.

Investigador do Centro de Estudos Geográficos do Instituto de Geografia e Ordenamento do Território da Universidade de Lisboa, fazendo parte do NETURB - Núcleo de Estudos Urbanos. É também pesquisador no Grupo de Estudos Territoriais (GETE) da Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa, Paraná, Brasil. Licenciado em Geografia pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra (2005). Frequentou o Programa de Mestrado e Doutoramento ‘Pós-Colonialismo e Cidadania Global’ do Centro de Estudos Sociais e da Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra (2005/2006). Actualmente realiza o mestrado em Geografia – População, Sociedade e Território no Instituto de Geografia e Ordenamento do Território da Universidade de Lisboa.

Encontra-se a desenvolver investigação para a tese de mestrado entitulada “Heterotopias e Constelações Queer – Espacialidades Lésbicas e Gays na cidade de Lisboa” sob a orientação de Jorge Macaísta Malheiros (Instituto de Geografia e Ordenamento do Território - Universidade de Lisboa) e Ana Cristina Santos (Centro de Estudos Sociais - Universidade de Coimbra; e Birkbeck Institute of Social Research – University of London) a entregar em Junho de 2011

Os seus interesses de investigação centram em três eixos fundamentais: geografia social e cultural, igualdade e diversidade; estudos de género (masculinidades) e estudos lésbicos, gays e queer; e teoria social e história e teoria da geografia (metodologias qualitativas e epistemologia).

No quadro do activismo é desde 1998 activista feminista e LGBT tendo sido fundador e actualmente dirigente da associação não te prives – Grupo de Defesa dos Direitos Sexuais. Fez parte das Panteras Rosa (frente de combate lesbi-gay-transfobia) de 2004 a Agosto de 2010.
